Alison is currently Chief Executive of Daycare Trust and has been since 2006. Prior to that she was Director of Policy, Research and Information at One Parent Families (now Gingerbread). In her early career she worked as a Training Officer at CPAG and also as a Welfare Rights Officer with Citizens Advice.

Alison has a strong policy background and is a well published author of articles on child poverty policy and related issues.

Alison will take over at CPAG on 27 September and until then Shān Nicholas will continue as CPAG's Interim Chief Executive.
