Jassa is a young actor currently filming as a guest lead in BAFTA nominated BBC One series Ripper Street.

Jassa Ahluwalia (born 12 September 1990) is an English actor best known for his roles as teen heartthrob Rocky in BBC Three’s hit comedy series Some Girls and for slaying Goliath as Young David in History Channel’s epic TV miniseries The Bible. He is also a keen writer and producer.

Born in Coventry, raised in Leicester, Jassa now lives in East London. Owing to his mixed British-Indian heritage Jassa is a fluent Punjabi speaker and continued his passion for languages at University College London, studying Russian and Spanish. In 2010, at the start of his second year, he left university to present the debut series of Art Attack for Disney – the relaunch of the classic kids’ TV show. This marked the beginning of his professional career which continues to flourish.
