The first 100 days - what should a progressive government implement?
We contributed an essay to a new publication by the Centre for Labour and Social Studies: The first 100 days - what should a progressive government implement?
The essay highlights the child poverty crisis the new government will face, with the number of children growing up in hardship on the increase for the first time in a decade. Poverty isn't inevitable, but nor can it be solved over night: we propose three stages, from immediate actions to make poverty the priority it needs to be; to practical steps moving us in the right direction over the course of the Parliament; to a long-term plan for ending child poverty once and for all.
