Job opportunity: Glasgow Child Poverty Co-ordinator (P/T)

Grade C £35105 pro rata (24 hours per week; fixed term 12 month contract)

This is an exciting opportunity for someone with experience of strategic planning, partnership working and negotiation to play a lead role in developing and delivering action to tackle child poverty in Glasgow.

With over one in three of Glasgow's children currently living in poverty, you will work closely to support partners in the council, health board and wider public, private and voluntary sector to develop and report on actions that will substantially help to reduce that risk of poverty.

You will have a good understanding of the causes, consequences and solutions to child poverty and the role local government and health boards can play. You will alos have excellent written, verbal and presentation skills and the ability to work with a range of people in different organisations and roles, including people with direct experience of poverty or other forms of exclusion and disadvantage, to identify, agree and deliver shared goals.

This post is funded by NHS Greater Glasgow and Clyde. You will be part of the CPAG in Scotland team, but work closely with the City Council, health board and other local partners.

This post may be suitable for secondment with the agreement of the existing employer.
