Universal credit - problem areas

This new course looks in detail at some of the emerging areas of dispute that universal credit claimants face. It takes a practical, problem-solving approach and gives an opportunity for participants to share their own experiences of universal credit in practice.

The course content will develop in response to current issues but is likely to include:

  • Issues relating to gateway conditions
  • Claims process
  • Payment issues including alternative payment arrangements and third party deductions
  • Sanctions, conditionality and the claimant commitment for particular claimant groups
  • Entitlement for non-UK nationals
  • Problems specific to the full service areas

If you are working in a universal credit full service area, you should book on our Universal credit - full service course.
