Tax credits monitoring network

Child Poverty Action Group is monitoring the impact of tax credits on families and we are therefore interested in feedback from advisers. We have set up a network of advisers interested in providing feedback on tax credits issues.

Your feedback will be used to lobby for change to improve the system, to highlight good as well as bad practice, to inform policy work and to identify possible areas for research and test cases. We will seek to raise areas of concern through liaison with relevant decision makers and in our policy responses.

We are looking for feedback on any issue relating to the tax credits system, for example, issues relating to overpayments, access to the HMRC help line, impact on other benefits etc. From time to time we may well decide to focus and seek feedback on particular areas of concern, especially if we notice a trend.

Unfortunately we are unable to take feedback from members of the public – if you have a tax credit overpayment and need advice on this please go to your local advice centre.

We are inviting organisations to sign up to the network and in turn you will become a subscriber to our monthly ebulletin keeping you up-to-date with tax credits news and developments and our support services for advisers.
