Funding for disabled children will improve quality of life for some of the poorest families

21.05.07

Commenting on today’s announcement of £340 million to help families with disabled children, Child Poverty Action Group’s Chief Executive, Kate Green, said:

“Disabled children and their families are at particularly high risk of poverty. As a member of the Campaign to End Child Poverty we fully support the Government in making disabled children a priority. This new investment will improve the quality of life for thousands of children and their families.

“The next step must be to make sure that all disabled children receive the benefits they are entitled to and that the extra support available is enough to meet the full additional costs faced by the parents of disabled children.”
